About this file

This document is a Scope of Work for the Aquaduct 9 - Emergency Cleanout project, which is a state and local contract opportunity. The project requires a contractor to use a long-reach excavator to clean out the three middle bays of Aquaduct 9 in the Green River. The contractor must remove brush, mud, and sand and deposit it on the river bank, with the goal of restoring flow to the middle bays. The contractor may use two machines, one to clean the bays and one to place the debris on top of the levee. The river bank must be repaired to its original condition before the contractor leaves the site.

The document does not provide any details on pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding requirements and sources, or any other salient information beyond the scope of work. It appears to be a technical specification document outlining the work to be performed under this state and local contract opportunity.

Text version

Scope of Work Project: Aquaduct 9 - Emergency cleanout of central bays Cleaning out Aquaduct 9 will require a contractor to get a machine, preferably a long-reach excavator, into the Green River to clean out the three middle bays of the aquaduct.

1. You are allowed to ramp down to the edge of river for machine access.

2. Brush, mud, and sand must be removed to bank side ramp and removed from river basin.

3. We would like the channel restored to the middle bays, but not essential. If debris material is removed, flow will return to middle bays and not to outside bays where erosion is occurring.

4. Contractor may use two machines - one to clean out bays and one on river backside to place debris up on top of the levee where it will be away from river flooding in the future (Preferred way but not applicable if contractor has easier way )

5. River bank must be repaired to original condition before leaving. (Ramp down to waters edge must be removed and repaired to the way it was)
