About this file

This is a Direct Labor Burden Calculation form issued by the State of Colorado Office of the State Architect, State Buildings Program, for the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs in connection with the Windsor Peak Shaving project (Project No. 082506). The form is required to be submitted for review prior to execution of any construction agreement and serves as the basis for establishing labor overhead percentages that will be incorporated into the contract as part of Exhibit A. Contractors and major subcontractors, including electricians, plumbers, mechanical contractors, excavators, millwork, and concrete specialists, must each submit a separate Labor Burden Calculation Sheet detailing their respective overhead percentages.

The labor burden calculation encompasses all benefits that contractors pay to employees on their payroll, including payroll taxes, pension costs, health and dental insurance, life insurance, and other specified costs. The calculated total labor burden percentage must be mutually agreed upon by both the contractor and the Principal Representative and will be used in the calculation of any future Change Order Proposals per form SC-6.312. The State reserves the right to require backup confirmation of all information included in the calculation. The form provided indicates a total labor burden percentage of 0%, though this appears to be a blank template awaiting contractor submission of actual burden rates.
