About this file

This is a Direct Labor Burden Calculation form from the State of Colorado Office of the State Architect State Buildings Program for the Department of Agriculture's State Fair project (2024-011M24) involving Creative Arts Code, ADA, and HVAC Upgrades, Phase 1 of 2. The form serves as a standardized template requiring contractors and major subcontractors to document and agree upon labor overhead percentages prior to execution of the construction agreement. The document requests itemization of labor burden components including payroll taxes, pension costs, health and dental insurance, life insurance, and other specified costs that contractors pay to employees on their payroll, with one calculation sheet required per contractor and each major subcontractor (such as electricians, plumbers, mechanical contractors, excavators, millwork, and concrete specialists).

The agreed-upon total labor burden percentage will be incorporated into the contract as part of Exhibit A and will be used in calculating any future change order proposals under form SC-6.312. The labor burden calculation requires mutual agreement between the contractor and the Principal Representative, and the State reserves the right to require backup confirmation and documentation of all information included in the calculation. This form was issued in August 2023 and represents a mandatory submission requirement prior to contract execution.
