About this file

This document is an insurance requirements appendix for the Community College of Denver (CCD) related to professional moving services for Boulder Creek. The contract requires vendors to obtain and maintain comprehensive insurance coverage including workers' compensation, commercial general liability with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $1,000,000 general aggregate, automobile liability with $1,000,000 combined single limit coverage for all vehicle types, and cargo/inland marine insurance with minimum limits of $150,000 per occurrence. The State of Colorado and CCD must be named as additional insureds on all commercial general liability policies, with coverage remaining primary and noncontributory to any state or institutional self-insurance programs. All insurance policies must include 30-day cancellation notice provisions and waiver of subrogation rights against the state, CCD, Auraria Higher Education Center, and their respective officers, agents, and employees.

The cargo and inland marine insurance provisions establish specific coverage requirements for property in the vendor's care, custody, or control throughout all stages of relocation including packing, loading, transportation, unloading, staging, and placement. Coverage must extend to property owned by the State of Colorado, the Auraria Higher Education Center, CCD, and any other property entrusted to the vendor. Where specialized medical, laboratory, imaging, or research equipment is involved, the vendor must maintain specialized equipment coverage with a minimum sublimit of $120,000 per occurrence to address risks associated with handling, transportation, rigging, and placement of such equipment.
