About this file

This document is a Contractor/Vendor Requirements document for a substation equipment purchase for the Ames National Laboratory's Metals Development 150 project. The requirements specify the procurement of substation equipment from Square D/Schneider Electric, including medium-voltage primary incoming section, transformer section, and low-voltage secondary switchgear section with coordinated circuit breakers, fusible switches, and metering components. The document outlines detailed requirements for manufacturing, delivery, storage, and handling, with the Project General Contractor directing logistics and the substantial completion date set for March 31, 2026.

Key stipulations include contractors obtaining parking permits if using ISU or Ames Labs parking, unloading at the Metals Development dock, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and following all specified guidelines. The document explicitly notes that Construction Wage Rate Requirements (Davis-Bacon) do not apply to this work, and contractors must adhere to the specifications dated February 14, 2025, for the AMES LAB-MD 150 SUBSTATION PREPURCHASE.
