About this file

These architectural floor plan exhibits detail renovation requirements for the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park (DAAV) Visitor Center, specifically focusing on first-floor upgrades. The documents provide detailed specifications for flooring removal and replacement, wall and work area removals, and new ranger station configuration. Key renovation elements include:

Flooring Scope: Remove and replace tile flooring within the primary visitor arrival and exhibit area, including the ranger station area (kitchenette) and receiving desk. The contractor will re-floor an additional 327 square foot room not shown on the primary plan. Wall removal requirements include dismantling non-structural stud walls, casework, and desks, with specific instructions to safely remove artwork from curved walls. Electrical and technology infrastructure work involves re-routing electrical outlets, LAN wiring, and security alarm systems to support the new ranger contact station desk, with careful coordination required with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for precise positioning and installation.
