About this file
This document is an appendix that provides annual inspection and recertification criteria for Genie Boom Lifts. It is not a solicitation or contract opportunity document, but rather a technical specification guide detailing inspection requirements.
The appendix outlines 18 inspection items (A through R) that must be evaluated during annual inspection and recertification of Genie Boom Lifts. The inspection criteria cover all critical systems and components including: controls and functions, ground-level controls, chain and cable mechanisms, guards, lubrication and fluids, structural and critical components, placards and decals, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electrical systems, tires, wheel fasteners, lighting, batteries, drive and steering systems, alarms, communication systems, manufacturer registration, and open safety bulletins. Each inspection item specifies the particular requirements that must be verified, such as proper operation, damage assessment, fluid levels, fastener tightness, and legibility of safety markings. The criteria ensure comprehensive evaluation of the lift's mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and safety systems to maintain operational integrity and compliance with safety standards.
