b. Provision of Reference Standards at site.
c. Source and acronyms used for Reference Standards in Contract Documents.
1.2 APPLICABILITY OF REFERENCE STANDARDS:

b. The publications listed in the various specification sections form a part of the specification to the extent referenced. The publications are referred to in the text by basic designation only.
c. Use the latest standard except when a specific date is specified.
d. Disregard payment provisions contained in any portion of the referenced specifications and standards.
e. Throughout the Contract Documents, reference is made to codes and standards. These establish qualities and types of workmanship and materials, and establish methods for testing and reporting on the pertinent characteristics.
f. It is the Contractor's responsibility to provide materials and workmanship which meet or exceed the specifically named code or standard required by these Contract Documents.
g. It is also the Contractor's responsibility, when so required by the Contract Documents or by written request from the Contracting Officer, to deliver to the Contracting Officer all required proof that the materials or workmanship, or both, meet or exceed the requirements of the specifically named code or standard. Such proof shall be in the form requested in writing by the Contracting Officer and will generally be required to be copies of a certified report of tests conducted by a testing agency approved for the purpose by the Contracting Officer.
h. Specific names of codes or standards occur on the Drawings and in other sections of these

Deviation(s) shall only be by signed approval of the respective authorities having jurisdiction. All costs relative thereto shall be borne by the Contractor and included in the Contract price.

l. Applicable Standards: Standards referenced in the Specifications are usually referred to by the abbreviation of the organization's name and the designation of the document (e.g., ASTM A-36).
Documents in common use may be referred to by its own designation (e.g., the National Electrical Code is published by the National Fire Protection Association as NFPA-70, but is usually referred to as NEC and is part of a series of documents or standards referred to as the National Fire Code).
Unless otherwise indicated, references as to the latest issue of the publication available on the date stipulated for the receipt of bids. Not all standards identified in this list are necessarily required on any project.
