About this file
This document is Appendix A from a Statement of Objectives (SOO) detailing technical specifications for geospatial data collection and delivery for the U.S. Marine Corps GEOFidelis Program. The appendix provides comprehensive requirements for digital data submission, including mandatory standards for Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data, Computer-Aided Design and Drawing (CADD) files, and Global Positioning System (GPS) data collection. Key specifications include using Esri file geodatabases, complying with Spatial Data Standard for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE) standards, and meeting precise spatial accuracy requirements ranging from sub-foot (30 centimeters) to sub-5 meter precision.
The document outlines strict protocols for data documentation, metadata creation, and delivery, mandating XML-formatted metadata following Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) Content Standards. Deliverables must be submitted via Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) using DoD SAFE, with all digital files, source data, and related materials becoming government property. The cooperator is required to provide technical consultants for on-site data reviews, ensure compliance with SDSFIE V, -M, and -Q standards, and obtain a signed non-disclosure letter for accessing government GIS data.
