About this file
This document is an Invitation for Bids (IFB) issued by the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) for on-call, open-ended hand mowing, trimming, and litter pickup services along MD 261 and MD 794 in Anne Arundel County. MDOT SHA is seeking a contractor to provide these services within the purview of the Annapolis Maintenance Shop. This is a non-exclusive, Small Business Reserve procurement with a contract term of one year from the Notice to Proceed or when total payments reach the accepted bid price, whichever comes first. No pre-bid meeting will be held, but all questions must be submitted to the Procurement Officer by May 8, 2024. Bids are due by May 14, 2024 at 1:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.
The IFB includes estimated quantities for the hand mowing, trimming, and litter pickup work, as well as additional provisions for extra work and a protection vehicle. This is a Small Business Reserve procurement, so only certified small businesses are eligible for award. Payment will be based on the unit prices established in the bid form, which must include all costs for labor, materials, insurance, and incidentals. The contractor will be rated monthly on reliability and quality of work, and poor performance may result in contract termination.
