About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by Greenville County, South Carolina for the replacement of the main entrance sign at Greenville County Animal Care. The County seeks information from qualified vendors to support development of a future Request for Proposals and assist with budget planning and cost estimation. The proposed project involves replacing the existing entrance sign with a new monument-style entrance sign incorporating a full-color LED digital message center with cloud-based programming capabilities. The anticipated sign dimensions are approximately 10-12 feet wide by 8.5-10 feet high, with a digital message center measuring 72" by 36". The RFI was issued on July 17, 2026, with an opening date of August 4, 2026. Responses must be submitted electronically through the designated procurement portal. The scope includes complete design, fabrication, and installation services, with vendors encouraged to recommend alternative designs, materials, dimensions, or features that enhance functionality, durability, appearance, or long-term value while remaining consistent with the County's general design intent.
Vendors are requested to provide budgetary estimates for the complete project, descriptions of proposed monument sign construction materials, detailed information regarding the LED digital message center including manufacturer specifications and cloud-based programming capabilities, assumptions used in developing estimates, estimated lead time from authorization to installation, and recommended design modifications or optional features. The County has not limited construction materials to any particular type and encourages vendors to recommend materials they believe are most appropriate for durability, appearance, and maintenance. A conceptual rendering is provided as Attachment A to communicate the County's general design vision but is not intended as a required or final design. Responses should include company name and contact information, a narrative describing the recommended approach, budgetary estimate, product literature or brochures if available, assumptions and exclusions, and an estimated project schedule and lead time.
