About this file
This is a technical specifications document containing detailed requirements for multiple building life safety upgrades at the Angell Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center in Yachats, Oregon. The scope includes seven base work items across multiple buildings: Women's Dorm electrical room door panic hardware, Dining Hall & Culinary Arts electrical room door, Lumber Equipment Storage metal roof and decay reconstruction, Urban Forestry entrance landing/stair/handrail work, Education building masonry repairs, Hazmat Storage explosion-proof ventilation, and an optional item for Lumber Equipment Storage roof painting.
The specifications detail requirements for demolition, carpentry, doors/frames, hardware, electrical work in hazardous locations, site clearing, earthwork, and stormwater systems. Key technical requirements include Class 1 Division 1 rated electrical components for the hazmat storage area, FRP doors with specific performance criteria, concrete work meeting ACI standards, and metal roofing systems with 20-year weathertight warranties. The contractor must coordinate work around occupied buildings during normal business hours (8:00 AM-4:30 PM Monday-Friday), maintain site access, and protect existing facilities. The specifications establish quality standards, testing requirements, and closeout procedures for all trades involved in the upgrades.
