ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES
VENDOR QUESTIONS
Date: December 28, 2023
24-422DNR-DIREC-B-40830
LOCATION: Anderson Lake SFWA
PROJECT TITLE: DNR Anderson Lake – Replace Diesel Engine Drive Unit
Vendor Question 1:
Are you looking for supply and delivery of the unit only? Or do you want the bidder to remove & replace the old unit as well or Is there any sort of installation required at the delivery location?
IDNR Answer 1:
The bid only requires that they deliver and supply the unit according to the specs, the Vendor does not install the unit.
Vendor Question 2:
If this is only a bid for supply and delivery, Does the point for the prime contractor still apply for this or can we submit this bid as a reseller having 14 years of experience in supplying items/equipment from various manufacturers, authorized dealers and distributors. A manufacturer's warranty will also be provided where applicable.
IDNR Answer 2:
Section A. Project Specifications 1) states that “the awarded contractor must have 3 years of experience in the commercial large volume water handling pump and/or trailer fabrication industry and be able to provide documentation of completion of at least 2 projects similar in size and scope to this one prior to award.”
If a Bidder cannot produce this documentation, then they cannot be awarded this project.
Also, a manufacturer’s Warranty is required.
Vendor Question 3:
Also If there is only supply and delivery requested, Does the point for the bond still applies for this?
IDNR Answer 3:
Section C. Project Requirements 10) Insurance is applicable for this Bid but 11) Performance Bond / Labor and Material Payment Bond are only for Public Construction (Act 30 ILCS 550) so is not applicable for this project.
