About this file

This document is Amendment No. 1 to a Request for Bid (RFB 065-05-25-050-02) issued by the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) for aerial lifts. The amendment addresses several vendor questions regarding specifications for a 60-foot aerial lift to be mounted on a 33,000 LB GVWR 2025 International HV607 chassis cab. Key modifications include removing the "over center" descriptor from the specification, confirming the DUR-A-LIFT DLT2-60 model compatibility, and clarifying that the state will handle chassis delivery. The amendment also specifies that a flatbed configuration is required for tree trimming purposes, and no strobe lights are needed.

The amendment provides additional context through attached photographs of existing aerial lift units, showing white trucks with mounted lifting mechanisms. Vendors are instructed to acknowledge receipt and compliance with the amendment by signing and returning the document. The procurement officer, Vanessa Brosten, is available for further questions via phone (701-328-4466) or email (vbrosten@nd.gov). The amendment serves to provide clarity and ensure potential bidders have comprehensive information about the specific requirements for the aerial lift procurement.

Amendment No. 1

To: ALL INTERESTED SUPPLIERS

From: North Dakota Department of Transportation

Date: July 18, 2025

Re: Amendment to RFB 065-05-25-050-02; Aerial Lifts, 60’

Bidders Instructions #11 of the solicitation established a deadline for receipt of questions. The responses to these questions are provided as addenda to the solicitation. When necessary, the solicitation has been amended.

Question 1:

The specs call out ‘over center’, however the DUR-A-Lift DLT2-60 is a telescoping articulating aerial, not ‘over center’. Can you please confirm the DLT2-60 is the correct model for your application?

Answer 1 Remove ‘over center’ from description: Aerial lift to be mounted on a 33,000 LB GVWR 2025 International HV607 chassis cab with a cab to axle of 139”. The unit shall meet or exceed OSHA, ANSI

92.2 and FMVSS standards and shall be of standard production and be furnished with all standard accessories and in addition meet the following minimum specifications.

Remover ‘over center from header: Specifications for Aerial Lift 60’ Working Height

Question 2:

Will the supplied chassis be drop shipped or will the vendor be responsible for pickup of the chassis?

Answer 2:

The State will have it delivered

Question 3:

Our recommended CA is 108, or 110, or 120ca. We can probably make the 138 work but the outriggers will more than likely have to be pushed back in order for it to work.

Answer 3:

The chassis provided will be 139”CA.

Question 4:

Section 4 – are you wanting the toolboxes on top of the body or integrated into the body?

Answer 4:

Please see the attached photo of toolbox integrated into the body.

Question 5:

Do you require any strobe lights?

Answer 5:

No.

Question 6:

Can you provide photos of the existing unit?

Answer 6:

Please see attached.

Question 7:

For the body portion, is a flatbed with toolboxes expected or is a service body acceptable?

Answer 7:

The State is requesting a flatbed because of the tree trimming.
