About this file
This document is an amendment to a state and local contract opportunity for the Oak Springs Hatchery Underground Storage Tanks Removal Project in Wasco County, Oregon. The amendment adds requirements for the contractor to remove fuel pumps and fuel lines, dispose of any residual liquids, and restore the site by seeding lawn areas and rebuilding/replacing a rock retaining wall. The contractor will retain ownership of the fuel pumps, and the holes left after tank removal can be left open pending soil sample results, with the contractor providing adequate signage, fencing, and barricades. The mandatory bid form has been amended, and bidders will need to submit the updated version. The project aims to remove two abandoned underground fuel storage tanks that have been decommissioned since the early 1990s to alleviate the risk of tank failure and collapse.
The base bid for the project is required to include all the additional work specified in the amendment. Bidders must submit the amended mandatory bid form. Once the tank(s) have been removed and soil sample results are available, the contractor can leave the holes open, provided they take appropriate safety measures.
