The scope includes one 8-foot by 16-foot, two-sided display and four 4-foot by 8-foot, two-sided displays that operate 24/7 in all-weather conditions without overhead coverage. Questions & Answers

1. Do you know if they are looking for one of the following sign qualities? 6MM, 10MM, 16MM or 20MM? We are looking for the best quality possible (smallest MM). Please price all options with the exception of 3mm and 20mm.

1. Are you requiring these units to be louvered or un-louvered? Preference would be louvered

1. As follow-up, would you prefer standard non-louvered 5K nit calibrated SMD or Hi Bright double-louvered 8K Nit SMD? Preference would be 8K nit louvered, final purchase will be determined by price to quality ratio.

1. Do you have a site map (with measurements) indicting the location of each of the five displays? (for connecting options) Lander will be responsible for the connections at each location. Because of distances the signs will not be physically connect to each other by a designated cable.

1. Will you provide drawings of the existing sign structures into which the EMC(s) will install? We need to identify if there is sufficient air flow around and behind the EMC’s and that existing structures and footers meet engineering and weight standards. See examples of where the displays will go once constructed.

1. Does Lander University currently have, or should we include a lifetime data plan for the cellular modems? Offeror shall provide the lifetime data plan for the cellular modems.

1. While people often talk about diagnostics, of the 4 levels of diagnostic standards, to what level do you want to specify? Please provide pricing for all level of diagnostics.

1. Are you specifying on-demand to the tile diagnostics (Level 4)? No

1. The Reason for drawing and schematics is because the bid does not state if 4x8 are on poles or monuments. The enclosed sign for 8x16 does not give what structure inside of that sign would support the heavy 8x16. Nor does it even say if inside would allow the 8x16. Did someone already furnish this info to you? If so they should supply drawings and how they propose to do install. See examples of where the displays will go once constructed at the end of this document.

1. - Do they want single color or multi color? Multi color

1. - Do they want video or static? See Section III-Scope of work

1. - If drawings of existing structures are not provided, do we have at least 5" of depth for cabinet space? For the 4’ x 8’ displays the final sign structure will be designed around the chosen display.

1. - Can we subcontract install? Installation has been removed from this RFP.

1. - Is it Union Labor for install? Installation has been removed from this RFP.

1. - Is it Prevailing Wage? Installation has been removed from this RFP.

1. - Will you pay deposit? State law prohibits paying deposits or pre-paying for any work.

1. - Do we have more than 30 days after receipt of PO to deliver and install systems? Installation has been removed from this RFP. Please state your estimated lead time for displays in the offer.

1. - Are the specified sizes the active area? See Section III and references to “display”

1. Although not necessary, but it would be helpful to have pictures of the proposed installation sites. Installation has been removed from this RFP. See images for a visual of how the display will be housed.

1. Is there going to be an onsite inspection? Installation has been removed from this RFP.

1. Are the 4 x 8 LED on poles? Answer: Structures for the 4x8 signs have not been constructed. The 4’ x 8’ displays will be mounted in a monument style structure.

1. Scope of Work/Specifications – On page 16 of the RFP under Warranty and Services a spare parts kit is mentioned. Please confirm that an on-site spare parts kit is to be included in the total price for each individual display (i.e., quantity 5). Assuming that both the 4x8 and the 8x16 use the same spare parts, we will accept one (1) spare parts kit. If the two sizes require different spare parts, then we would need one kit for each size (one 4x8 kit and one 8x16 kit)

1. Permits – On page 32 of the RFP it states:

“During the term of the contract, the Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining, and maintaining in good standing, all licenses (including professional licenses, if any), permits, inspections and related fees for each or any such licenses, permits and /or inspections required by the State, county, city or other government entity or unit to accomplish the work specified in this solicitation and the contract.”

Could you please confirm that this is the responsibility of the display contractor or will that be the responsibility of the support structure contractor? Installation has been removed from this RFP.
