About this file
This document is an amendment to the Central Management Services Bureau of Strategic Sourcing's CPO Notice 2022.05, which provides updated guidance on COVID-19 protections for contractors. The amendment incorporates the requirements of Governor Pritzker's Executive Orders 2021-22 and 2021-23, which supersede the previous Executive Order 2021-20 and extend the date that certain contractors must become vaccinated. The amendment requires all agencies to include the updated COVID-19 Protections clause in all solicitations, regardless of the procurement method, including those currently published on BidBuy. The clause mandates that vendors adhere to the requirements of the Executive Orders, which include the use of face coverings, COVID-19 vaccinations, or testing in certain settings such as indoor public places, healthcare facilities, schools, and state-owned congregate facilities.
The document also states that agencies may implement vaccination or testing requirements that exceed those in the Executive Orders. Contractors are advised to consult with their State Purchasing Officer or the Chief Procurement Office if they have any questions regarding this notice.
