About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). DCR is seeking information from vendors who can provide touch-free fee collection systems for parking in the Department's 52 parks that currently collect revenue, as well as a revenue application that can aggregate data from multiple sources to provide real-time reporting. The Department intends to award one or two vendors to implement the touch-free fee collection system and the revenue application, with the goal of having these systems operational by April 1, 2021. Vendors are requested to submit responses to this RFI by November 23, 2020.
The RFI outlines the Department's specific requirements for the touch-free fee collection system, including the need for automated capacity counting, the ability to accommodate parking reservations, and support for complex fee structures. Similarly, the revenue application requirements include the ability to integrate with multiple revenue streams, generate various reports, and provide technical support. The Department has not provided an estimated value for the future contract, but notes that the award may be made to one or two vendors, depending on the responses received.
