2.3.5 Three FRP pins are required for each wharf log/backing beam (minimum of 30 pins per order).

2.3.56 100% total quality shall be an essential part of every product delivered to the MPA. These are backing beams items that will lose all effect if the Contractor does not make inspection a routine part of their process. Questions/Answers Question 1: You need a footing at least 6’ or less. Also, there is no comment on the FRP pins for mounting to the dock or wharf. This just doesn’t work for bidding as a direct buy, as we can’t make one at a time, and it would be extremely expensive, which defeats the purpose of what you’re trying to accomplish. If you can lock into a quantity that we can make all at once and then ship as needed that would save you guys more money and not have to worry about minimum order quantities and color change fees.

Answer: In MPA’s opinion and based on previous shipments, the footing does not need to be 6’ or less. Provided with this Amendment are pictures of wharf logs/backing beams that are currently in stock at the MPA. The MPA will commit to an order of 10 minimum per order. Bid Form will not change.

We would like to have the FRP pins included when we purchase the wharf logs. We will order 10 wharf logs, therefore we would need to have 30 pins supplied with each order, see Section 2.3.5 added to this Amendment.

End of Amendment No. 3
