About this file
This document is Amendment No. 1 to Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 224047-H for Wharf Logs/Backing Beams, issued by the Maryland Port Authority (MPA). The amendment revises the size specifications for the wharf logs and backing beams, updates the bid worksheet, and includes two pictures of the required items. The contract is an indefinite quantity, as-needed agreement, with the MPA reserving the right to increase or decrease quantities as required. The initial contract value for year 1 is $50,000.
The amendment also addresses questions from potential bidders, clarifying that the 10-inch x 20-foot size specified in the original IFB is an industry standard that can be achieved by bolting together smaller pieces. The amendment further states that unit prices bid shall apply regardless of the actual quantity of items ordered.
