About this file

This Amendment II document modifies the original Invitation for Bid (IFB) 3160008060 issued by the Mississippi Department of Public Safety for the procurement of approximately 200 KA-Band radar units, which are speed detection and traffic enforcement devices utilized by law enforcement agencies. The amendment corrects specifications from Amendment I and the original bid by removing mandatory requirements for metal antenna mounting brackets and clarifying that sample radar submissions are discretionary rather than mandatory. The effective contract date has been adjusted to July 7, 2026, with a revised contract term structure replacing the original forty-eight-month firm price period.

The contract term has been substantially modified from the original structure of forty-eight months with one optional one-year renewal to a twelve-month initial term with up to four additional optional twelve-month renewal periods. Pricing is firm for the first twelve months with no increases permitted during this period; however, price increase requests may be submitted for renewal periods, with requests due no later than three months before the extension year begins and requiring manufacturer documentation of actual cost increases. The amendment also adds language allowing bidders to elect whether they wish to extend their quoted prices to all state agencies, counties, and municipalities in Mississippi. All bidders must acknowledge receipt of the amendments and sign the updated bid form by the June 19, 2026 submission deadline at 10:00 A.M. CST. The pricing submission must include all associated costs with no additional or hidden fees.
