About this file

This is a Location Specification Sheet (LSS) Amendment for RFP 180000002127 issued by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) for grounds maintenance services at the Detroit Operations and Service Center (DOSC). The contract covers maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) grounds maintenance services for a 0.41-acre property located at 1060 West Fort Street in Detroit. The contract term is five years, running from May 1, 2018, to April 31, 2023, with two renewal options. Services are to be performed on Saturdays or Sundays between 6 am and 5 pm, with the facility operating 24 hours daily.

The pricing structure requires contractors to include all costs for replacement parts, labor, equipment, one-time charges, fees, and potential additional costs such as shipping and handling. The scope of work includes mowing, edging, blowing grass cuttings, debris removal, litter pickup, semi-annual services, herbicide application, pruning, and fertilization, with services performed 26 times per year. Contractors must provide weekend and weekday evening rates per acre and submit a complete list of owned or rented equipment to be used for the contract. The document emphasizes that equipment failure will not be accepted as a reason for service deviation, and contractors are responsible for any property damage during service delivery.
