About this file
This is Amendment 2 to RFP 180000002127 issued by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) for grounds maintenance services at the Bagley Pedestrian Bridge near the Detroit Operations and Service Center (DOSC). The contract involves maintaining approximately 1.5 acres of grounds, including mowing, debris removal, herbicide application, pruning, and fertilization. Services are to be performed Monday through Thursday from 6 am to 5 pm, as determined by the Project Manager. The contract term is five years, starting May 1, 2018, and ending April 31, 2023, with two renewal options available.
The pricing structure requires contractors to submit per-acre costs for regular mowing services (26 cycles per year) as well as semi-annual fall and spring services, herbicide application, pruning, and fertilization which are performed as directed by the Project Manager. Contractors must include all costs for replacement parts, labor, equipment, setup charges, and any additional fees in their proposal. Quick payment terms are encouraged, and contractors must certify that prices were arrived at independently. The contractor must provide reliable commercial equipment including mowers, string trimmers, and blowers, with backup equipment available in case of mechanical failure.
