About this file

This document is an Amendment to a Request for Proposal (RFP) from Department 591 for a Medium Duty Truck and Mounted Auger Drill Unit, specifically Specification #C11-0001.19. The specification details a comprehensive procurement for a specialized geological drilling vehicle, with precise requirements for a Ram 5500 four-wheel drive chassis and Geoprobe-style drilling equipment. The solicitation outlines extensive technical specifications covering everything from the vehicle's base components to intricate drilling capabilities, including detailed requirements for the cab and chassis, power train, interior and exterior features, electrical systems, drilling mast specifications, hydraulic systems, and included drilling equipment.

The specification provides an exhaustive list of required equipment and accessories, including ten 3.25 HSA DK auger sections, multiple drill rods, sampling equipment, concrete coring bits, and supplementary tools like a field service kit and nitrogen charge kit. The vehicle must meet specific dimensional constraints, with width not exceeding 98-1/2 inches, transport length under 275 inches, and various height limitations. Key technical requirements include a Cummins 6.7L turbo diesel engine with 370hp, automatic transmission, extensive electrical and safety features, and a comprehensive drilling system with push/pull forces, winch capabilities, and precise positioning mechanics. The specification appears to be a detailed procurement document intended to ensure a precise, high-performance geological drilling vehicle that meets specific operational requirements.
