About this file

This is Amendment 1 to an Invitation for Bid issued by the Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks Office of Procurement and Contracts for an agricultural production permit at Tuttle Creek Wildlife Area. The amendment, dated June 4, 2026, clarifies the planting schedule for the approximately 79.4-acre cropland tract located in Marshall County, Kansas. The bid closing date is June 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM CST, with Bridget Martinez serving as the procurement officer. The initial contract term runs from the date of award through December 31, 2026, with potential renewal for three additional three-year periods for a maximum of ten years, subject to mutual consent and approval by Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks staff.

The amendment clarifies that since planting dates will have passed by the time the bid closes and is awarded, the crop rotation specified in the original bid packet is merely suggested guidance. The actual crops to be planted during the 2026 calendar year will be decided jointly by the successful permittee and Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks staff. Critically, rental payment will not be collected unless the agreed-upon crops are actually planted in the designated fields. Bidders must submit a signed copy of this amendment with their bid response, and all bidders are required to monitor the procurement website regularly for any additional changes or addenda. Award will be determined based on the highest annual cash rent bid on a per-acre basis, with annual rent payable in two installments: fifty percent due by April 1st and fifty percent due by December 1st.
