| Can the verbiage that says bidders must offer both conveyer options in order to be considered for award be removed? |
Drag slat conveyors experience less build-up of debris. Belt conveyors tend to accumulate debris more quickly, requiring frequent maintenance and cleaning. This can be time-consuming and costly. Drag slat conveyors, on the other hand, have a design that minimizes daily build-up, leading to more efficient operations and reduced maintenance costs.
Durability is another key advantage of drag slat conveyors. They are generally more robust and can handle coarse materials like millings and large debris better than belt conveyors. This makes them suitable for a wider range of applications, from urban streets to construction sites. The increased durability also means that drag slat conveyors have a longer lifespan, providing better value for money over time.
chain driven drag slat conveyor offers several advantages over belt-style conveyors including reduced debris build-up, increased durability, and less overall maintenance. These benefits make drag slat conveyors a superior choice for many street sweeping applications, ensuring cleaner streets and more efficient operations The requirement has been updated to accept bids with one or both conveyor options. See changes made in Section 2.15 on the amended administration document.
