Amendment 1 Vendor Questions

1. For all lines where OPEN TOP vials with Septa are requested, will 0.125” PTFE/silicone septa meet the State’s requirements? Do any of the OPEN TOP vials require 0.135” Septa?

We currently use 0.125” Septa and have not used/tried 0.135”. We want to keep it at 0.125”The instruments(methods) that would be directly involved if this were to change would be TOC and 524.3 THM, 524 VOC, 504, and 8260.

2 For all lines where bottles, jars, jugs are requested, does the State have any specific liner requirements for these container’s caps? Some were specific in the earlier bid.

Liners for caps All caps with liners are either Polyethylene foam-lined or PTFE (for method 525 and 548).

All caps without liners (all containers with preservative) must be leak-proof to prevent any sample and/or preservatives leaking out.

3 Line #12. Can you please confirm that LDPE is requested and not HDPE? Would HDPE be acceptable? Either HDPE or LDPW is acceptable Would a “Natural Round” bottle be acceptable since this is a plastic bottle? Yes

4 Line #44. Can you please provide additional specifications for this line? Type of plastic – HDPE? Jar, bottle, jug? Type of neck – wide or narrow? Any cap specifications? HDPE bottle wide mouth
