About this file
This is Amendment 1 to an Invitation for Bid solicitation issued by the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) for janitorial services at the Oconee Maintenance Facility located at 150 Richland Road, Westminster, SC 29693. The amendment modifies the original scope of work to clarify that the awarded contractor shall provide a vacuum cleaner and floor buffer, rather than SCDOT furnishing this equipment. The solicitation requires twice-weekly cleaning services on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., with approximately 7 hours per work day needed to complete duties across approximately 6,664 square feet of building space. Semi-annual tasks include dusting window blinds, cleaning designated windows, and stripping, waxing, and buffing tile floors. The original bid submission deadline was February 3, 2022 at 2:30 p.m., with questions required by January 27, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. A site visit was scheduled for January 26, 2022 at 11:30 p.m. at the Oconee Maintenance facility. Award was posted on February 7, 2022.
The contractor is responsible for providing all supervision, labor, and cleaning materials except for paper towels, toilet tissue, hand soap, and trash bags, which SCDOT will furnish. Any cleaning supplies left in the building must be accompanied by proper Material Safety Data Sheets submitted to the Oconee Resident Maintenance Engineer or their designee. Upon notification of award, the contractor must appoint a designee and provide their name and contact information to the facility. Offers were submitted online through http://www.procurement.sc.gov, and offerors were required to acknowledge receipt of the amendment and submit one signed copy of the solicitation form with their offer. The bidder agreement commits the offeror to hold their offer open for a minimum of thirty calendar days after the opening date.
