About this file
This is Amendment #1 to a Request for Quotes issued by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources for the procurement of a 30 kilowatt generator for the Walhalla Fish Hatchery. The solicitation (numbered 5400017447) was issued on April 4, 2019, with a pre-bid conference scheduled for April 2, 2019, at 11:30 AM at the SCDNR-Walhalla State Fish Hatchery located at 198 Fish Hatchery Road, Mountain Rest, South Carolina. Offers must be submitted online by April 10, 2019, at 10:00 AM, with questions from offerors due by April 4, 2019, at 12:00 PM directed to Procurement Officer Andy Bowman at bowmana@dnr.sc.gov. The award was scheduled to be posted on April 11, 2019. Offerors must hold their offers open for a minimum of ninety calendar days after the opening date and submit a signed copy of the solicitation form with their offer.
Amendment #1 clarifies two critical requirements based on vendor questions: the scope of work must include the removal of the existing Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), and the contractor must hold a South Carolina licensed electrical license from the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (LLR). The amendment specifies that while earlier pages referenced general contractor and mechanical contractor designations, only a South Carolina-licensed contractor in the electrical field with the required electrical license from LLR is acceptable. All other terms and conditions of the original solicitation remain unchanged.
