The bid solicitation, designated KK18-17-M, was released on April 17, 2018, with Amendment #1 issued on April 19, 2018, specifying that the Royal Sovereign laminator must be the 65" Heat Assist Model RSC1651LSH. The bid due date was April 24, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. CST, with responses submitted via email to kkerchec@uwm.edu. The solicitation consists of two separate lots: Lot 1 for one HP Latex 335 Print and Cut 64" bundle (including printer, cutter, software, inks, and automatic media take-up reel) and Lot 2 for one 65" Royal Sovereign Wide Format Roll Laminator. Bidders may respond to either or both lots. Bid pricing must be all-inclusive and include product cost, freight, insurance, packing, installation, and on-site setup, with freight costs paid by the contractor but reimbursed by UWM on a prepaid and added basis. The award will be made to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder(s) by total cost per lot or grand total, at UWM's sole discretion. Bidders claiming Minority Business Enterprise or Disabled Veteran-Owned Business certification may receive award consideration if their qualified bid is not more than 5 percent higher than the apparent low bid. All bidders must provide a full one-year parts and labor warranty beginning upon merchandise receipt, and must be original manufacturers, authorized distributors, or dealers authorized by manufacturers to provide service and repair capabilities. Delivery must occur within thirty days of purchase order award during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) to the UWM Print & Copy Services facility at 115 E Reindl Way, Glendale, Wisconsin 53212. UWM reserves the right to reject all bids, waive irregularities, request clarification, make partial awards, and purchase similar or like items in the future under the same terms and conditions, provided the contractor receives written prior approval from the purchasing office.
