About this file
This document contains amendments to the specifications for an LED lighting retrofit and upgrade project for the Telfair Recreational Complex in Telfair County, Georgia. The project involves retrofitting existing baseball and football fields as well as installing new lighting for tennis courts. The amendments extend the bid due date to July 26, 2024 and revise the technical specifications for the project. The lighting system is required to meet illumination standards for sports fields and courts, with guaranteed light levels and uniformity ratios. The project will be procured through a sealed bid process managed by the Telfair County Board of Commissioners, with the selected bidder awarded a turnkey installation contract. The total electrical load for the lighting system must not exceed specified limits. The manufacturer is required to provide a 10-year warranty on the lighting equipment and performance.
The amendments also include an alternate bid item for a remote driver option, as well as an alternate for providing new lighting for four additional tennis courts. Bidders must provide detailed photometric calculations, electrical wiring diagrams, and product data as part of their submittals. The winning contractor will be responsible for field measurements, aiming adjustments, and performance validation testing to ensure the installed lighting meets the specified illumination criteria.
