About this file
This document is a Sole Source Purchase Justification and Approval Form for the Clayton County Water Authority (CCWA) for the purchase of custom-built low flow conservation kits from AM Conservation Group. The total amount of the sole source purchase is $23,644.83. AM Conservation Group is being selected as the sole source provider due to their ability to provide technical services associated with the assembly and installation of the conservation kits, which are required to be compatible with CCWA's existing equipment and facilities. The justification outlines that AM Conservation Group has exclusive capabilities to provide the required products and services. The sole source purchase requires CCWA to provide public notice and allow for potential protests before proceeding with the purchase. If the total amount is equal to or greater than $100,000, a Board presentation is required.
The purchase of the conservation kits is for use in CCWA's customer outreach programs. AM Conservation Group has provided these custom kits to CCWA in the past. The sole source purchase justification cites the need to continue the prior work associated with the additional items and services required, which were not known at the time of the original order. This sole source purchase will expire three years after the approval date, except for emergency purchases.
