3.1 System Removal:

The contractor shall safely disconnect and remove all legacy propulsion and control systems, to include the currently installed engines, fuel lines, wiring harnesses, and steering system components.

3.2 Notification of Unforeseen Conditions:

Upon removal of legacy systems, the contractor shall perform a thorough inspection of the vessel’s transom, hull, and existing structural infrastructure. If the contractor discovers any unforeseen damage, structural decay, or defects that prevent the safe installation of new equipment, the contractor shall immediately halt work on the affected area and submit a written Condition Found Report (CFR) to the Contracting Officer (KO) and the designated Government point of contact within 24 hours. The contractor shall not proceed with any repairs of unforeseen conditions without written authorization from the Contracting Officer via a formal contract modification.

3.3 Installation:

The contractor shall install all new equipment in strict accordance with the original equipment manufacturer's (OEM) specifications and the technical requirements outlined in Section 4.0 of this PWS.
