About this file
This document is an Alaska Bidder Preference Certification Form for state government procurement, designed to validate a business's eligibility for state-specific bidding preferences. The form requires businesses to self-certify their qualifications for Alaska Bidder and Alaska Veteran Preferences by answering a comprehensive set of questions related to business licensing, residency, business structure, and veteran ownership status. Businesses must demonstrate they have maintained a place of business in Alaska for at least six months, hold a current Alaska business license, and meet specific residency and operational criteria to be considered for preference.
The form allows businesses to claim preferences by proving they are incorporated in Alaska, are a sole proprietorship owned by an Alaska resident, or have a business structure (partnership, LLC, corporation) with majority Alaska resident or veteran ownership. The certification requires detailed documentation and verification of business and individual characteristics, with penalties for false statements. Businesses must complete and submit this form with their bid or proposal, and the state retains the right to verify all claimed preferences, which may be denied if documentation cannot be confirmed.
