About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) seeking industry input on the capability to "lift and shift" four Unisys mainframe systems to a Linux platform. DFAS is looking to migrate the GAFS-BL, CPAIS, HQARS, and UPVM systems from a Unisys OS2200 mainframe running COBOL 74 to a Linux platform hosted in the DISA Linux Virtual or Linux On Premise environment. The RFI asks respondents to provide information on their experience with such migrations, their approach and timeline, data security and compliance measures, testing procedures, team composition and labor hour estimates, and pricing. DFAS is conducting market research to inform potential future requirements. Responses are requested by July 8, 2024, but this is not a solicitation, and no contract will result directly from the RFI.
