About this file
This document is an Addendum No. 1 issued by the State of Maryland Department of General Services for the Design, Construction & Energy Project No. AH-000-240-003 regarding the Loading Dock Entrance Enhancement at the Maryland School for the Deaf in Columbia, MD. The addendum clarifies and changes the Invitation to Bid (ITB) documents, including a pre-bid sign-in sheet, pre-bid meeting minutes, changes to specifications, a wall picture, and contractors' questions and answers. The project involves removing the existing curb and topsoil system, including the sidewalk, and providing and installing a new concrete apron system with bollards and associated components in the rear of the Steiner building at the Maryland School for the Deaf in Ellicott City, MD.
The addendum addresses several contractor questions regarding the project, including the lack of architectural drawings, the scope of work for sprinkler, piping, and electrical, the damaged masonry wall that needs to be removed, the small sidewalk that is to be removed, and the building's damaged side panel that does not need repair or replacement. The addendum also clarifies that there is no painting in the scope of work. All other terms, conditions, and specifications remain unchanged.
