The project involves the construction of a new scale house at 4664 Hwy 97, Klamath Falls, OR 97601, including furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and permits. The project is a base bid only, with no deductive or additive alternates. Demo work will be completed by others before the construction contractor mobilizes, which is currently scheduled for the last week of February. The contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and submitting critical submittals promptly after the Notice to Proceed (NTP) is issued. The project has a target substantial completion date of June 1, 2023, and a final completion date of June 15, 2023, as the funding for the project expires on June 30, 2023. Bids are due by February 14, 2023, at 11:00 AM via the OregonBuys E-procurement system, and a public bid opening will be held virtually.

The project is subject to BOLI wage rates, and the contractor will be responsible for obtaining the necessary permits and paying all related fees. The contractor will also need to provide a portable toilet on-site for construction workers. The pre-bid meeting agenda covers project details, scheduling, staging, and other administrative requirements in preparation for the bidding process.
