McCloud Loop Road Paving Amendment No. 2

VENDOR QUESTIONS AND FOREST SERVICE RESPONSES:

Q: How much brushing and tree removal is there?

A: There is no tree removal. We prefer not to label it light or heavy brushing as we may have different definitions of those terms. The pictures in the drawings are typical of the brush along the road.

Q: Is there grading of slopes and ditches? How much?

A: No.

Q: Is the road the same width the whole distance of 1.7 miles?

A: The width may have some slight variance. The average width is 22 feet as stated on the drawings.

Q: Is there any turn-outs to pave?

A: No.

Q: Can we close the whole road thru a weekend? We will need to pave road before letting cars drive on it. Pulverizing, grading and compacting will take more than one week. Paving approximately four days.

A: As stated in the specifications, the road can be closed Mondays through Fridays and one weekend closure will be allowed.
