AG-9702-S-10-0349 Amendment 0002____________________________________________________

Furnished Material (GFM) and this is noted in the Osmose report pages included in the solicitation.

Question 1:Will the report in 557.05 need to be stamped by a register engineer?
Answer 1:Sections 557.03 Inspection, 557.04, 557.04 Analysis, and 557.05 Reports were completed under Phase 1 of the project and are not a requirement of this project.
Question 2:Will the existing slash piles along the road be removed prior to reclaiming the road or if not, how would the slash piles be handled?
Answer 2:It is the intent of the Forest Service to have the slash removed before contract award.
Question 3:How will the road be reclaimed and did we anticipate a requirement to haul out any of the material?
Answer 3:The intent is to have the material excavated during the construction of the road and crane pads pulled back up and contoured to match the grade existing prior to construction. All of the material in place today is native and there is not a need to haul material out. Any material hauled in to construct access to the south side during Phase II will need to be removed from the site once construction is complete.
Question 4:Could the crane pads be constructed on the south side of the drainage similar to the crane pads used during Phase I?
Answer 4:Yes, the hope is to minimize the number of trees required to be removed to allow construction of the crane pads.
