INFORMATION. The questions that have been received so far and the answers provided are also included in this amendment.
Update
The language on the first paragraph under the description of this announcement has been updated to read:
This is a combined synopsis solicitation for Architectural and Engineering services prepared in accordance with FAR Part 36 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
Language has been included under RESPONSE INFORMATION of this announcement. Firms shall include only 10 projects total in Block F and in Block H firms shall be limited to no more than 10 pages.
Only resumes for the key personnel proposed in section G shall be included.
Questions received and answers provided
1. The solicitation states “The firm must also be able to provide Professional Engineers and Land
Surveyor(s) registered in New Mexico, Arizona, as required by applicable state law.” We have reviewed the solicitation and don’t see any engineering design services listed that would require the oversight/involvement of a PE. Is a PE truly necessary, or will Professional Land Surveyors suffice?
a. A PE is necessary. The PE is a state law requirement although a PE is typically not involved in the Mapping. The certification and approval of mapping products will come from a Professional Land Surveyor and/or certified Photogrammetrist.
2. The solicitation indicates that electronic submissions will also be accepted. If we choose to submit electronically, will a hard copy still be required?
a. A hard copy or electronic copy will suffice. I don’t anticipate that there will be a need to request hard copies from those that submit electronically. NOTE: A hard copy submission is preferred. If a firm chooses to submit their response electronically, it is the responsibility of the firm to verify that the agency has received their response.
3. Is there a page limit for this SF330?
a. There are some restrictions in regard to number of pages. Block F shall be limited to 10 projects. Block H shall be limited to no more than 10 pages.
4. Is there a page project limit? Resume limit?
a. Block F shall be limited to 10 projects. Only resumes for the key personnel proposed in section G, shall be included.
5. Is there a page limit for section H?
a. Block H shall be limited to no more than 10 pages.
6. May we include a cover and transmittal letter?
a. Yes
7. Is it correct that we can submit this proposal electronically only, or must we submit a hard copy
AND submit electronically?
a. A hard copy or electronic copy will suffice, I don’t anticipate that there will be a need to request hard copies from those that submit electronically. NOTE: A hard copy submission is preferred. If a firm chooses to submit their response electronically, it is the responsibility of the firm to verify that the agency has received their response.
8. Is there a DBE goal for these projects?
a. This procurement is unrestricted and open to both small and large businesses.
