The following questions have been asked at either the pre-proposal meeting or submitted afterwards. Some of the answers were provided and the meeting. Other answers have been determined after the meeting by the Government. These questions have been paraphrased to be more concise and do not reflect the word-for-word questions received.

1. Question: Are there any known underground storage tanks (UST’s)?

Answer: Yes, all UST’s have been removed and the last tank was removed in 1987. Prior to 1987, the Forest Service did have a fuels station on this site. The tanks were removed and disposed of in accordance with all federal, state, EPA and local laws in effect at that time. The records of this disposal shall be made available to the awardee upon request.

2. Question: A half missing placard was observed and made reference to on the small shed adjacent to the fuels storage shed.

Answer: This was a plastic “Fuels” placard which had weathered and been blown away in the wind.

3. Question: Stains were observed and commented on the concrete slab within the fuels storage shed.

Answer: It was confirmed that the stains on the concrete slab in the fuels storage shed were petroleum based stains that may have been Kerosene.

4. Question: There are potential unknowns covered in snow on in the boneyard and other areas, does WRNF know what they are and if not, how will they be dealt with regarding the scope of work?

Answer: This area was used as a “boneyard” for miscellaneous items to be stored. In order to address any issues that may arise from this question or question 5, the clause covering differing site conditions has been added (FAR 52.236-2).

5. Question: A pile of rusted cans near the trash container was commented upon.

Answer: At one time, it was the White River National Forest policy to collect and catalog any cans and bottles that were found on the forest which were believed to be in excess of 50 years old. The rusted pile of cans near the trash containers are a result of this policy, and these cans can now be disposed of.

6. Question: The existence of what once were trailer parking pads was commented upon.

Answer: This location does have local water and sewer hook-ups, however, there are no septic tanks, leach field or underground propane tanks.
