2.a. Grading
Provide safe, smooth, drained surface free of potholes, ruts, berms, washboard and organic soil and debris while recovering any useable existing aggregate. This work also included the reconditioning of drainage dips, turn-outs, and turnarounds. All potholes will be scarified to the lowest point in the hole and the aggregates regarded and smoothed over the entire roadway to produce smooth uniform surface free of rocks, debris and soil. Water, if needed to prevent heavy dusting and/or to allow the aggregates to bind, will be applied as needed.

*** - See below:

1. If all items on the task order are completed with no reworkings and a minimum of 2.5% ahead of TO deadline-contractor will be paid a bonus of 2.5% of TO total.

2. If the entire TO is preformed with only one or two reworkings of sites and ahead of time – contractor will be paid a bonus of 1% of TO total.

3. If the entire TO is completed on time with three to five reworkings-contractor will be paid the full TO amount.

4. If the contractor does not complete the TO on time but complies with less than or equal to two reworkings of site with the terms agreed to in a cure notice issued by the CO a 1% reduction in TO payment will be made.

5. If the contract does not complete on time but complies with a CO issued cure notice and has fewer than 5 reworkings, a deduction of 3% will made on the TO payment.

6. If contractor does not complete TO in a reasonable time, after having a cure notice issued, the task order may be canceled and future optional years not executed by Government. A 10% deduction in payment value for all items completed will be made on all payments after the date of the Cure Notice under the TO.
