Raven Cliff Site Visit Questions/Answers 5/11/16
1) What are the Contractors supposed to do with the existing bituminous material once it is removed?
The existing bituminous material removed from the roadbed becomes the property of the Contractor and is to be properly disposed of off-site at the Contractors expense. Some or all of the material may possibly be used as filler material or stockpiled for use by the district at a later date, but those are possibilities and should not be counted as part of the bidding process.
2) How wide is the asphalt section of the road?
The asphalt section of the road will be 14’ in width. Rock used on the shoulders to maintain this uniformity will be incidental to paving.
3) How wide is the reconditioned (graveled) section of the road?
The reconditioned section of the road varies in width and shall be covered by aggregate according to those variances as directed by the Engineer.
