AG-0116-S-11-0044 Anan Trail Enhancements
Questions and Answers
No information given on this document amends the solicitation.
Question 1: I would like to use Yellow Cedar or Pressure treated on Puncheon Step and Run and on the Plank Stairway with handrail and deck.
Answer: Pressure treated wood only for these contracts.
Question 2: Work site conditions now ? site visit accessible ?
Answer: Site conditions are likely snow covered and frozen ground. The Anan site is accessible.
Question 3: Access for material mobilization on existing trail ? how wide is the existing trail ? any restrictions on equipment size ?
Answer: Existing trail width is 24". Materials for Anan can be boated in right to the sites
Question 4: Estimated work season ?
Answer: Work season varies depending on snow. Anan may be able to start in April.
Question 5: Camping on or in close proximity to the projects?
Answer: Camping is possible near the sites. Anan has a camping restriction beginning June 15th but could be extended until the contract end date on June 30.
Question 6: Stream crossings on projects ?
Answer: No stream crossings
Question 7: Is there any "local" suppliers that you know of for the materials on these project?
Answer: Some local suppliers are Johnson Building Supply and Ottesens's True Value.
Question 8: On Anan Trail, do you think getting the bridge beams up from the boat on the bay is possible or did you expect a helicopter delivery only?
Answer: The bridge stringers could be winched to the site from the boat. The bridge sites are approximately 50' from the water up a steep hillside.
