About this file

This is an AFMC Form 158 (Packaging Requirements) document for federal contract purchase instrument FD20602600080-00, Version 2. The document specifies packaging and marking standards for two line items: 4820001614098UC and 4820DTL2600F9UC.

For item 4820001614098UC, packaging shall comply with MIL-STD-2073-1 (Military Packaging) at preservation level MIL, packaging level B, using "MIL Long Line Packaging." Unit pack dimensions are 12.5 inches length, 8.3 inches width, and 4.0 inches depth, with a cube of 0.240 and weight of 2.90 pounds. Critical to all wood packaging material (WPM) requirements—including wooden pallets, skids, load boards, crates, and dunnage—is that all items must be constructed from debarked wood with heat-treatment to 56 degrees Celsius (133 degrees Fahrenheit) for 30 minutes minimum, with certification/marking by an accredited agency recognized by the American Lumber Standards Committee (ALSC) per International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPM No. 15). For item 4820DTL2600F9UC, no packaging is available under MIL-STD-2073-1 standard. Both items require shipping container marking in accordance with MIL-STD-129 (Military Marking) and may include additional marking and bar coding requirements such as unit serial numbers, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) names, or OEM model numbers as specified on the AFMC Form 158. The document was prepared by packaging specialist Cedric E. Williams (406 SCMS/GULAA) on 2 March 2026.
