About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a one-time repair service for a Taylor Hobson Aerospect SPS 2500 located at Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) in San Diego, California. The primary objective is to replace a failed operating computer with a new Windows 11 Personal Computer, including specific components such as a data acquisition board, calibration pot, wiring harness, rackmount computer, monitor, keyboard, and latest SPS software.

The repair service has a 90-day performance period and requires the contractor to provide all labor, tools, and materials to complete the repair. The contractor must be factory-trained, have access to OEM files, and perform calibration and preventative maintenance. Base access requires US citizenship and completion of SECNAV Form 5512/1. The accompanying federal contract opportunity indicates this is a sole-source procurement directly with Taylor Hobson, Inc., the original equipment manufacturer, due to the specialized nature of the equipment and software. The contract will be awarded by the Department of the Navy Naval Air Systems Command.
