About this file
This is a Request for Bids issued by Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) in Oregon for advanced robotics platforms to support instruction, research, and workforce training in the Advanced Robotics Laboratory. MHCC is seeking two complementary robotic systems: a humanoid bipedal robot platform and a quadrupedal robot platform. The humanoid system must include a multi-degree-of-freedom articulated body with a minimum of 30+ degrees of freedom, integrated dexterous hands or manipulators, integrated sensors for balance and perception with computer vision support, onboard GPU-capable computing compatible with ROS/ROS2, open software development platforms with SDKs and APIs, curriculum and training resources, battery and charging systems, and a remote controller. The quadrupedal system must feature four-legged dynamic walking capability suitable for indoor and outdoor use, integrated perception sensors including LiDAR or equivalent 3D sensing, visual sensing capability, onboard GPU or AI accelerator-capable computing, open development environments compatible with ROS/ROS2, APIs or SDKs for programming, and educational and research support resources. Both platforms must support open software development, robotics datasets, research-friendly APIs, and common robotics development tools. Bids are due no later than 2:30 PM on March 25th, 2026, and must be submitted via email to Randi.Roehrick@mhcc.edu using the attached spreadsheet form. All equipment must be delivered on or before June 30th, 2026.
Award will be made to the vendor providing the best value based upon price, product specifications, and warranty provided. Bids must include a lump sum fee expressed in dollars and cents that encompasses delivery costs, a brief explanation of items, manufacturer information, and warranty details, and confirmation of whether the product meets the stated specifications. Vendors must provide product specifications, educational documentation and learning resources, warranty information, technical support availability, and delivery timeline. MHCC reserves the right to determine the most responsible bidder and will reject any bids submitted after the deadline or not submitted on the designated spreadsheet form. No specific funding source, set-asides, or incumbent contractor information is identified in the request.
