About this file
This document is an Addendum #2 related to Bartow County's Invitation to Bid for the Douthit Ferry Boat Launch project. The addendum addresses questions received since Addendum #1 was issued on 12/7/2023. Topics covered include the availability of the pre-bid conference sign-in sheet (none, as no potential bidders attended), details on the concrete steps to be installed alongside the boat ramp, the requirement for surveying to be included in bidders' costs, and information on accessing U.S. Army Corps of Engineers data regarding average water levels and river generation schedules for the Etowah River. The bid issue date is November 21, 2023 and bids must be received by January 10, 2024 at 2:00 PM, with the bid opening on the same date at the same time.
The addendum provides clarification on several technical aspects of the project but does not include any information on pricing terms, set asides, incumbent contractors, funding requirements or sources, or other commercial details. The document is focused on responding to bidder questions to ensure a clear understanding of the project scope and requirements.

Addendum #2: Q&A Published 12/20/2023
This information is related to Bartow County’s Invitation to Bid for Douthit Ferry Boat Launch ITB ISSUE DATE: November 21, 2023 BIDS MUST BE RECEIVED BY: January 10, 2024 BY 2:00 P.M.
BID OPENING: January 10, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. (Commissioner’s Conference Room, 135 West Cherokee Avenue, Ste. 251, Cartersville, GA 30120)
Questions received since Addendum #1 (issued 12/7/2023):
Q. Is the sign-in sheet from the pre-bid conference available?
a. No potential bidders attended the pre-bid conference, so the sign in sheet is blank.
Q. Will the steps on the side of the ramp shown on the construction documents be concrete?
How will they be attached/connect to the ramp?
a. The steps will be concrete and are located alongside the ramp. The steps will be poured alongside the ramp. See the images below of the existing similar ramp at Hardin Bridge:
Q. Is any surveying required?
a. Surveying will be required. Bidders are encouraged to include this in their overall cost.
Q. Do you have a record of average water levels in the Etowah River throughout the year?
a. This information is provided in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers River Generation Schedule, which can be found at https://spatialdata.usace.army.mil/hydropower/ (select Allatoona Dam and Lake).
The River Generation Schedule helps predict high water levels and strong currents.
The ramp install will need to be completed when they are not generating.
