About this file
This document is an Addendum to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) for the Florida State Hospital Recloser Upgrade project. The ITB solicits bids to upgrade the main incoming power recloser at the Florida State Hospital located in Chattahoochee, Florida. The addendum makes several changes to the original ITB, including clarifying requirements for subcontractors, bid submission instructions, and vendor qualifications. Bids are due on May 16, 2023, and the anticipated contract start date is July 1, 2023. The project is located within Leon County and the City of Tampa, Florida.
The addendum specifies that state-certified general or building contractors may bid on specialty contract work, provided they use a state-certified subcontractor. Vendors must submit a list of proposed subcontractors and demonstrate that the subcontractors are qualified technically and financially. The addendum also outlines the required documentation for the bid submission, including the bid sheet, bid bond, and verification of technical, licensing, and experience requirements. Vendors may be deemed non-responsive if they fail to provide the required documentation.
