About this file
This document is an Addendum to the Invitation to Negotiate (ITN) issued by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF), Office of Substance Abuse and Mental Health (SAMH), for the procurement of a Managing Entity for the SunCoast Region, which includes the following counties: Charlotte, Collier, DeSoto, Glades, Hendry, Hillsborough, Lee, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, and Sarasota. The anticipated start date of the resulting contract is now September 1, 2024, and the anticipated duration is five years, with potential renewal in accordance with Florida Statutes. The timeline has been updated, with the Reply due date now set for February 14, 2024, and the anticipated posting of the intended contract award now scheduled for August 12, 2024.
The Managing Entity selected will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and contracting for the delivery of substance abuse and mental health services through a comprehensive behavioral health system of care comprised of subcontracted network service providers. Organizations may submit replies that differ from the regional groups identified, but must include a justification for why subdividing or expanding the proposed service area is in the best interest of the state. Any such replies will be subject to negotiation and evaluation on how the counties omitted from the proposed service area can be served.
